Cutting Edge Info For Less Than The Cost of a Hamburger

Having been writing and publishing Lyme disease information for over 8 years, I can tell you that one of the most difficult things about this chronic illness syndrome is getting properly diagnosed. Many available tests are flawed. Without proper diagnosis, treatment is in the dark, because different antimicrobials (whether herbal or pharmaceutical) target different infections.
Dr. Schaller's symptoms checklist book is infinitely valuable. Knowing which infections are causing your symptoms can save untold thousands of dollars on the wrong doctors, the wrong treatments, and the wrong supportive measures. Personally, I spend countless dollars and time chasing the wrong diagnoses before I was correctly diagnosed with Lyme + co-infections. I even wound up in the ER one time for a "kidney infection" which turned out to be a tick-borne infection that only responded to properly targeted antimicrobials.
And, for the price of a hamburger, you get Dr. Schaller's hundreds of references, years of experience, and wisdom. A great deal.
I've worked with Dr. Schaller in the publishing business for years (I distribute some of his books), and he has freely given to me in the forms of time, wisdom, mentorship, and friendship. I know first hand that his research is driven with one goal in mind: to help patients. And his information is 10 years ahead of his time. Another Brilliant Work by Dr. Schaller

Five years ago the lives of my family members were turned around by the work of Dr. Schaller. Some of the information he was using in 2006 when he wrote The Diagnoisis and Treatment of Human Babesiosis, a book that gave us the answer to mystery illnesses for six of us, are in this new collection of tick infection checklists. Dr. Schaller has written several books on Babesia and is clearly an expert in the field.
In his checklists for Bartonella, Lyme and Babesia, Dr. Schaller gives a comprehensive list of symptoms, signs and testing abnormalities that include literally the very latest research for these three illnesses. If you believe you could have a tick-borne illness and your physicians are not able to find a cause or your initial labs are negative, consider using these checklists to gain more in-depth information which could aid with a diagnosis.
If you have had an exposure and feel ill, and you are not bouncing back to a 100% recovery, these checklists are essential, as they include additional indirect labs and symptoms that are not routinely known by the medical community who are often busy just treating patients (I know this first hand from having several in-depth conversation with doctors about this subject who found the topic interesting and important). People can have any combination of tick-borne infections, and direct testing, in my opinion, is not as easy as we would like it to be. My son and I initially had negative Lyme labs that eventually turned positive after very specialized Babesia and Bartonella treatments. Bartonella lowers immunity and fevers, so it seems obvious it can impact testing for other diseases and infections, such as Lyme.
As we were treated, without any new bites or exposures, our bodies made significant antibodies to Babesia, Bartonella and Lyme. Babesia showed up positive for antibodies and was also indicated with indirect tests. Lab techs scrutinized our blood stains and could not see Babesia with the quick searches that are typically done, but were able to detect it with extensively searching the blood smear for infection.
Five years later, my son and I are both still healthy and living our lives to the fullest, when five years prior I almost had to give up my teaching career. Dr. Schaller is clearly far ahead of his time as what he wrote about concerning Babesia five years ago recently made it to some news stations. He is an absolutely brilliant researcher and I make it a point to read everything he publishes.
Finally, I know several people infected with with a tick-borne illness who took months and sometimes years to get the proper diagnosis, so these illnesses are unfortunately still being missed on a large scale. I have actually showed the checklist in his book from 5 years ago to a few people who finally ended up with a diagnosis but only after they read his checklist, with wide eyes and recognition that they had many of the issues on his list. If you suspect a tick-borne infection, these lists may help you.

A complete and current symptom checklist in one book

My family and I have had superior care from "Dr. J." He treats you like family.
This is the only book I know with carefully selected criteria for the
top infections found in ticks--also called "tick borne diseases."
Simply, It's perfect.
This book is far easier then searching all over the internet
and getting incomplete and inaccurate lists of symptoms on different
websites. I know this checklist will help people who are ill and have
seen by 20 plus doctors without a proper and correct diagnosis.
There would be a lot more people making appointments to the correct
specialist IF they read this book. As the disease evolves, the symptom
list gets longer. So, it is appreciated to have the most accurate
list to date, based on the newest journal references.
The information on testing and the Bartonella observations is a
wonderful addition to the book.
If this checklist was available 14 years ago, I would not have gone
undiagnosed and wasted all those precious years.
Dr. Schaller again has made his research available to the public for
education. He obviously is not getting rich off the price of this
book! Or the highly specific other books he has written.
"Dr. J," thank you so much for your generosity, your caring about the
sick, helping my family and helping people get well. Mostly, thank
you for your dedication to this disease and not giving up on us. You
just do not know how to stop--we are glad you cannot stand suffering
or telling a patient you have nothing to help them.
His big 2005 or 2006 Babesia book is like my bible. It is so warn
from using as a reference. I highly recommend it, also, and it really
is about three books in one.
This is a wonderful contribution.
I don't review many books, it is too time consuming but reviewing Dr Schaller's books, to me, is so important because the information is so valuable.
